March Wrap up

The Royal We
Girls in the Garden
The Color of Lies

It's definitely been a struggle this month - only 3 books read! Both The Royal We and The Color of Lie's were difficult to get through - it honestly became a chore to pick up both every night. Girls in the Garden was a great read and I'm looking forward to reading more of Lisa Jewell's novels.

Currently reading - The Spring Girls by Anna Todd

I just began reading The Spring Girls so don't have much of an opinion to give but so far I'm loving the plot and the writing style of Anna Todd.

Watching - Buddy vs Duff, Castle Rock

I watched a little bit of everything in March but I have to say, my favorite is definitely Castle Rock. Absolutely love the storyline that keeps you constantly guessing. On a side note, Celtics were hard to watch. Let's hope they're not a first round exit in the playoffs.

Eating 

What can I say here? As usual, a total fail. I'm hoping April I'll finally get off my ass and get things done.

Next Month

Hoping to read more books this month. For some reason, March didn't do it for me (aside from Girls in the Garden). I feel like lately it's been a fight to find something I enjoy. Out of everything in April, I'm super excited that Game of Thrones is coming back! Best.show.ever. Have a lot of things to complete and accomplish in my personal life as well. Let's hope April is better than March was.

February wrap up

Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows

Crazy Rich Asians
Then She Was Gone

I didn't get as much reading done as I would have liked this month. I feel like Crazy Rich Asians took forever for me to get through. With that said, Daughters of the Lake, is definitely my pick for this month. I absolutely loved this book from start to finish and couldn't put it down.

Currently reading - The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan

Just like Crazy Rich Asians, this book is super long (500+pages). Though I've just started the story, I have a feeling this one will be a struggle to get through. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Watching - Top Chef, Pimple Popper, 600lb life

Of course, the Superbowl was in February and it couldn't have gone any better. Go Patriots!! I've also watched the Celtics throughout this month.. hoping they go on a great run the rest of the season. Weekly shows I've been addicted to include, Top Chef, Pimple Popper, and 600lb life. Definitely guilty pleasures. It's been awhile since I've watched Top Chef - fell off previous seasons - and I'm so glad I took the time to watch this season, I've been truly enjoying it.

Eating 

My diet in February was not great, to say the least. I was all over the place, and did not stick to 1500 calories (or working out regularly). Too much take out, too much sweets, too much everything. Yikes.

Next Month

I plan on reading a ton of thriller novels next month, as it's truly what I enjoy the most. I'm looking forward to reading "The Girls in the Garden" by Lisa Jewell. As for TV/movies, I definitely plan on watching the Celtics and American Idol in March. I'm also excited for the movie "Us" to be released - I loved "Get Out" and hope this one lives up to the hype. March is the month I will be getting back on track with my diet and workout routines - I need to get this done! Here's to a great month 👊💓

Hard time choosing between The Girl on the Train and Mr. Mercedes this month, but giving the edge to Paula Hawkins' gem. Absolutely LOVED this book, haven't been this engrossed in a novel in some time.

I really enjoyed all of my reads this past month, (I will say The Little Giant of Aberdeen County was a bit of a disappointment) but my pick has to go to Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. I absolutely LOVED it from start to finish.

MARCH WRAP UP

Okay, so first of all this has been an abysmal month as far as reading goes. I'm not really one to read 20+ in a month as it is, but I do like to get to about 8-10 in a month. Not 5. Which unfortunately, is the number of books I've read this March. Honestly, I'm not worrying about it (although, this will probably effect my 100+ reading challenge). Reading is my favorite pastime, hobby, etc. The last thing I want is for it to become a chore.. another minute task that I HAVE to attend to everyday. So however many books I've read this month, I'm happy. Sort of...

Really great books this month! I enjoyed more than a few including the Sookie series (of course) and Kathleen Woodiwiss' novels, "Everlasting" and "The Flame and The Flower". But Rooftops of Tehran was just... amazing. Such a great story and definitely a new found favorite!

Pick of the month : Dead to the World - Charlaine Harris
Okay, so first of all, I love, love, LOVE the Sookie Stackhouse series! I have actually read the whole series before, but since receiving the box set for Xmas, I decided to re-read them all. A bit obsessive, I know, but I'm sort of..... addicted to vampires (especially 6'5" viking vampires named Eric Northman, but that's beside the point), I'm working on it, okay? Dead to the World is the 4th book in the series and possibly my favorite as well. It revolves around Eric getting amnesia and having no memory of himself or his life. Sookie takes him in and inevitably, chaos ensues including a witch war, a kidnapping, a murder and a VERY hot romance. Seriously, amazing! If you haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse series yet I highly recommend you go out right NOW & pick yourself up a copy of Dead Until Dark - you will not regret it!
